UC Berkeley’s Cal Women in Gaming
Cal Women in Gaming (CWG) is a student-run club at UC Berkeley dedicated to empowering gender minorities in games—as players, competitors, and industry professionals. The club’s mission is to change what gaming looks like; they want every student who is touched by the program to feel confident that they belong to the gaming community.
Isa Mari De Leon
Isa Mari De Leon (she/they) is a Mentorship & Industry Relations Co-Lead for Cal Women in Gaming. Isa co-designs CWG’s professional development initiatives, such as a one-on-one mentorship program, resume workshops and reviews, and industry events. Studying English at UC Berkeley, Isa loves storytelling and writing. They were a Narrative Writer Intern at Riot Games, and they will return in 2022 as an Associate Narrative Writer. Outside CWG and narrative writing, Isa enjoys reading, journaling, and gaming.
